Today the Central Heating Hub team have been busy during this cold snap. We have attended a boiler breakdown in Redditch. Customer reported "hot water is ok but no heating". The customer was not on our boiler cover (Hubcare Plan). This is not a combination boiler. It is a regular gravity feed central heating system. This is a Y plan meaning it had a 3 port valve. When you have a S Plan you normally have 2 x 2 port valves. These are traditionally Honeywell or Drayton. Although there are other makes we work with including EPH and more.
We replaced the MAI Drayton 22mm 3 port and tested. All working fine.
We did replace the synchronic motor prior but unfortunately this did not work as the mechanism was faulty.
