Solar Thermal Repair, Service and Installation

Solar thermal is a renewable source of energy.

1. Reduce your energy bills

Solar thermal systems use solar energy to heat your home, reducing utility bills by up to 70%. Sunlight is free, so once you’ve your solar thermal system installed, your heating and hot water costs will be highly reduced

2. Become eco-friendly

Solar thermal power is a natural energy with none of the environmental impacts.

3. Reduce your carbon footprint

By using solar energy instead of fossil fuels, solar thermal systems reduce the amount of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.

4. Save extra money

Depending on where you live, you can receive government tax incentives.

Reduce your energy bills by up to 60%* with Worcester Greenskies Solar Panels.

Solar hot water systems (also known as Solar Thermal) are a renewable energy source that harness heat from sunlight by capturing energy which is radiated by the sun within solar panels or collectors.

Solar Thermal Heating is not to be confused with Solar PV (PhotoVoltaic), which is designed to generate electricity. Worcester does not currently sell Solar PV as our main focus is delivering heating and hot water comfort.

This heat energy is then moved down pipes to the hot water cylinder within your home, reducing the need to use Gas, Oil or Electricity to heat the hot water you require; lowering energy bills as well as your carbon footprint. You can find out more on our Solar Water Heating, call our team.

What you need to know about Solar Water Heating

Does solar thermal really work in the UK?

Contrary to popular belief the amount of solar radiation received across the UK makes our country ideally suited to delivering a highly efficient solar water heating system.

The solar heating map highlights the medium to high intensity of sunlight received across much of the UK. For the areas which are exposed to lower levels of sunshine we have specifically developed our Greenskies range to utilize both direct and indirect sunlight.

Solar panels offer the following benefits:

  • The ability to provide around 60%* of your homes hot water requirement

  • Capability to heat hot water in both direct and cloud diffused sunlight

  • Compatibility with either a current Gas or Oil fired regular or system boiler, or heat pump.
